It is a nonprofit organization relying on fundraising and donations to stay open. There are art auctions that occur at the Long Beach Museum of Art to raise money for the organization. Art at the art auctions get bids and the proceeds are donations for the museum. Guests can purchase tickets to attend the auction. Then at the auction there will be a two night celebration of art, culture, and community. Guests can enjoy dinner with museum leadership and patrons, early previews of the silent auction and live auction featuring rare, high-value art. The art auctions are fun and fabulous to attend. The Long Beach Museum of Art has beautiful surroundings and ambience for visitors. There is a wonderful restaurant which is called “Claires at the museum.” The restaurant has a delicious variety of food and spectacular ocean front views. Visitors can spend time at the restaurant sitting in the patio enjoying a tasty meal, and gazing at gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean, Queen Mary, and Catalina Island. Parties of five or more are encouraged to make reservations to ensure they can get a spot in a timely manner since the restaurant is popular. The Long Beach Museum of Art has an amazing sculpture garden. It features sculptures since the museum was opened so visitors can see old and new sculptures in the garden. Some of the sculptures at the garden include signs of the pacific, flower tree, solea, and flora fauna. The garden is magnificent for anyone who loves sculptures and wants to learn more about them.

There are opportunities for visitors and students to learn more about art through the Long Beach Museum of Art. The museum has guided tours led by docents and educational tours. The tour guides show visitors the different art collections and explain the art pieces. It is a wonderful educational opportunity to learn about art from amazing artists’ work.
