She gets joy from animals and claims she “trusts dogs and cats more than people.” Twenty years ago, Patty’s beloved Japanese Akita dog passed away and, she learned that the cause was bad dog food. Patty was shocked and upset as she realized how terrible many dog foods actually are for dogs. She instantly decided to work in the dog food, pet industry to help dogs and dog owners and honor her Akita dog she lost.
Patty began researching and studying dog foods to find out which kinds are healthy and safe for dogs and which aren’t. She then became a certified dog nutritionist and began working for a pet business at the farmers market in Long Beach. Patty did so well and customers loved her energy to help dogs. After several years, Patty opened her own pet shop which is now, Pet Pantry. Patty helps many dogs and cats with her pet shop.
